Typical applications

Bullet terminals are used to make removable electrical connections in low-voltage wiring and repair work. They are commonly chosen for harnesses, equipment wiring and other installations where a secure crimp connection is needed but the cable may need to be disconnected later.

A 4.0mm bullet terminal should be matched to the corresponding mating connector size and the cable size being used. The sleeve style can also matter where added insulation or support is required around the crimped joint.

Choosing the correct terminal

Check the connector diameter, wire size and insulation style before ordering. If you are replacing an existing terminal, compare the old part carefully with the new one and confirm the colour, length and sleeve form match the application you have.

If your installation uses a specific crimp profile or connector family, make sure this terminal is compatible with the mating part and the tool you plan to use.

Handling and fitting

For the best connection, use the correct crimping tool for the terminal type and prepare the wire to the correct stripped length before crimping. After fitting, test that the terminal is secure and the joint is properly aligned with its mating connector.
