Automotive Bulb Cross Reference & Replacement Finder
Find the correct 12V or 24V automotive bulb using a manufacturer part number, ECE bulb designation, cap or base type, voltage, wattage or lighting application. The Delta Automotive Bulb Finder brings together equivalent references from HELLA, OSRAM, Philips, Lucas, Ring, Bosch, Narva, Neolux and GE/Tungsram in one searchable cross-reference.
Search standard signalling bulbs, halogen headlamp bulbs, LED retrofit lamps and xenon HID bulbs for cars, vans, trucks, trailers, buses, agricultural machinery and other commercial vehicles. Where a matching product is available from Delta, the finder provides a direct link to the product page together with the current stock indication and product image.
Enter the number printed on the old bulb, packaging, invoice or supplier catalogue. You can search using either a short bulb code such as H7, H4, P21W or W5W, or a full manufacturer reference such as a HELLA, OSRAM or Philips order number.

Find 12V and 24V Automotive Bulb Equivalents
Automotive bulb identification is not always straightforward. The same basic lamp can be sold under several manufacturer numbers, abbreviated references and packaging codes. A single bulb, blister pack, twin pack, trade box or bulk pack may each have a different order number even when the underlying bulb specification is equivalent.
Our automotive bulb cross-reference is designed to make that comparison faster. It combines the information that matters when selecting a replacement: bulb type, technology, voltage, wattage, cap or base, application and known manufacturer references. This helps trade buyers, workshops, fleet operators and parts departments compare alternatives without checking multiple catalogues separately.
Search Leading Automotive Lighting Brands in One Place
The finder covers references associated with leading automotive lighting suppliers, including:
HELLA bulbs for automotive and commercial-vehicle lighting applications
OSRAM and NEOLUX bulbs, including standard, performance, LED retrofit and xenon ranges where listed
Philips automotive bulbs, including short sales codes and longer packaging references
Lucas and Ring Automotive bulbs for cars, vans, trucks, trailers and workshop replacement
Bosch and Narva bulb references
GE and Tungsram automotive lighting references
Manufacturer references can change between markets, packaging formats and catalogue generations. Always compare the complete technical specification rather than relying only on a similar-looking order number.
Automotive Bulb Types Covered
Standard and Signalling Bulbs
Search common incandescent and auxiliary bulb types used for stop, tail, indicator, side, number plate, reversing, fog, interior, panel and marker-light applications. Frequently used designations include P21W, PY21W, P21/5W, R5W, R10W, T4W, W5W, W16W, W21W, W21/5W, H6W, H21W and C5W festoon bulbs.
Halogen Headlamp and Fog-Light Bulbs
Compare common halogen references such as H1, H3, H4, H7, H8, H9, H10, H11, H15, H18, H19, HB3, HB4 and related applications. The finder can help match branded order numbers to the underlying bulb type, voltage, wattage and base specification.
LED Retrofit Bulbs
Find listed LED retrofit alternatives for selected headlamp, signalling, interior and commercial-vehicle applications. LED replacement suitability and road-use legality depend on the exact product, vehicle, lamp unit and country. Confirm the manufacturer’s compatibility information and applicable approval before installation.
Xenon HID Bulbs
Search xenon HID references including D1S, D1R, D2S, D2R, D3S, D3R, D4S and D4R types where available. Xenon systems operate at high voltage and should be diagnosed and serviced by a suitably qualified person.
How to Use the Automotive Bulb Finder
Enter a reference. Search the number printed on the bulb or packaging, a manufacturer part number, or a familiar bulb designation such as H7 or P21W.
Review the specification. Confirm the voltage, wattage, cap or base, technology and intended application.
Compare equivalent references. Check the corresponding numbers used by other listed manufacturers.
Open the Delta product. Click an available Delta SKU to view the full product page, image and current availability.
Confirm compatibility. Before ordering, compare the replacement with the original bulb and the vehicle or lamp manufacturer’s requirements.

Why Bulb Base, Voltage and Wattage Matter
A matching bulb name alone does not always prove that two products are interchangeable. The cap or base determines the physical and electrical connection, while the voltage and wattage affect correct operation, heat output and circuit load. Examples of common base designations include BA15s, BAY15d, BAU15s, BA9s, W2.1×9.5d, P14.5s, P43t and PX26d.
A 12V bulb must not be substituted for a 24V bulb simply because the cap looks the same. Likewise, bulbs with similar wattage can use different locating pins, electrical contacts or optical positions. For headlamp applications, the bulb must also be suitable for the lamp unit and intended beam function.
Built for Automotive, Fleet and Commercial-Vehicle Buyers
Delta’s bulb finder is intended for practical day-to-day parts identification. It helps workshops, motor factors, fleet maintenance teams, vehicle electricians and purchasing departments locate replacement bulbs for passenger vehicles and 24V commercial-vehicle systems. Exact manufacturer numbers can be checked alongside standardised bulb descriptions, reducing the risk of ordering the right-looking bulb with the wrong voltage, base or application.
The cross-reference also accounts for the way bulbs are sold. A manufacturer may use different references for a single bulb, a twin pack or a larger trade pack. Where these alternatives are known, they can be searched in the same finder and linked to the relevant Delta product listing.
Automotive Bulb Cross-Reference FAQs
Can I search using a HELLA, OSRAM or Philips part number?
Yes. Enter the complete manufacturer reference into the search field. The finder also recognises many short bulb designations and alternative sales or packaging references included in the database.
Why can the same automotive bulb have several different numbers?
Manufacturers may use separate numbers for the technical bulb type, individual packaging, twin packs, trade boxes, regional ranges or updated product generations. Two order numbers can therefore relate to the same basic bulb specification but a different pack quantity or product range.
Are 12V and 24V bulbs interchangeable?
No. Always use the correct rated voltage for the vehicle and circuit. A bulb with the same shape and base may still have a different voltage or wattage and must not be treated as an equivalent without checking the full specification.
Can I replace a halogen headlamp bulb with an LED retrofit bulb?
Only when the LED product is suitable for the specific bulb application, vehicle and lamp unit, and its use complies with the regulations applicable in the country where the vehicle is operated. Check the LED manufacturer’s compatibility and approval information before ordering or fitting.
Does a matching cross-reference guarantee vehicle fitment?
No. A cross-reference identifies a likely technical equivalent, but vehicle fitment can vary by model, year, trim level, lamp manufacturer and market. Confirm the original bulb marking, base, voltage, wattage and vehicle documentation before purchase.
What should I do if my bulb number is not listed?
Check the bulb and packaging for an alternative number, ECE designation, voltage, wattage and base code. If the reference is still not found, contact the Delta sales team with the available markings, a clear photograph and the vehicle or application details.
Important Compatibility Information
This automotive bulb cross-reference is an identification aid. Manufacturer numbers, product specifications and ranges can change, and an equivalent reference does not by itself confirm legal approval or vehicle compatibility. Always verify the bulb type, voltage, wattage, base, dimensions, colour, technology, pack quantity and intended application before ordering. For safety-critical headlamp and xenon work, follow the vehicle and lamp manufacturer’s service instructions.
