Typical applications

Signal horns are used to provide an audible warning in road vehicles, commercial vehicles, plant and other 12V equipment where a horn of this type is specified. The exact fit depends on the mounting arrangement, electrical connection and the vehicle or machine’s horn requirement, so the buyer should match the tone, voltage and physical style before ordering.

As this is a high-tone horn, it is intended to work as part of a horn arrangement where tone selection matters. In some applications, high and low tones are used together, while in others a single horn is fitted. Check what your existing system requires rather than assuming any horn will be interchangeable.

Choosing the correct signal horn

• Confirm the system voltage is 12V.
• Check whether your application needs a high-tone horn.
• Match the mounting position and connector style to the existing unit.
• Verify the sound level and frequency suit the original specification.

Replacement guidance

When replacing a horn, compare the part you remove with the new unit before fitting. The critical checks are voltage, tone, mounting and electrical connection. If the vehicle or equipment uses paired horns, make sure the replacement matches the intended role within that pair.
