ND-BC9

The Pioneer ND-BC9 is a compact universal rear-view camera designed to improve visibility behind the vehicle when reversing and parking. Its wide-angle lens and high-sensitivity CMOS sensor provide a clear mirrored image of areas that may not be visible through the vehicle’s rear-view mirrors.

The camera automatically adjusts image brightness to suit changing light conditions, providing improved visibility during both daytime and night-time operation. Image processing also helps reduce the white streaking and overexposure that can occur when direct sunlight or other bright light enters the lens.

A standard CVBS video signal with an RCA connection allows the camera to be used with compatible Pioneer receivers and other displays equipped with a conventional rear-camera input. The supplied 10m cable provides the installation length required for many cars, vans and commercial vehicles.

Compatibility

The Pioneer ND-BC9 is compatible with Pioneer and third-party displays or multimedia receivers equipped with an NTSC CVBS rear-camera input using an RCA connection. Automatic switching to the camera image when reverse gear is selected depends on the functionality and correct installation of the connected receiver.

Some vehicles or factory multimedia systems may require an additional interface, adaptor cable or vehicle-specific mounting bracket. Compatibility should be checked before installation.

Installation Information

The camera operates from a nominal 12V vehicle electrical system with an operating range of 10.8–15.1V DC. It must not be connected directly to a 24V supply. Installation should be completed by a competent automotive installer, with the camera positioned so that it provides a clear rearward view without obstructing the registration plate or vehicle lighting.
