Hella HB3 9005 12V 60W bulb is an automotive replacement bulb identified by the HB3/9005 fitting and a 12V, 60W rating. It is intended for vehicles and lamp units specified to use this bulb type, rather than as a universal replacement.
HB3 9005 bulbs are used in lighting units designed for this bulb format, where the lamp housing, connector and electrical specification all match. In automotive use, the exact application depends on the vehicle and the lamp assembly, so the bulb type alone should be checked against the owner’s handbook or the existing bulb markings.
When replacing a bulb, compare the fitment code on the old unit with HB3 or 9005, and confirm the voltage and wattage required by the lamp. It is also worth checking whether the vehicle uses the same bulb for dipped beam, main beam or auxiliary lighting, as fitment can vary by model and lamp design.
As with most halogen automotive bulbs, handle carefully and avoid touching the glass with bare fingers. Always make sure the lighting unit is switched off and cool before replacement, and fit the bulb securely according to the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions.
